The department will conduct a written examination (Main, Preliminary), English Typing Test and the interview. The written examination will be conducted in the various examination centers of Delhi and the date of the same would announce very soon on its official websites. Delhi High Court JJA Syllabus:

Eligible candidates will require to appear for Preliminary Examination (objective), Main Examination (written), English Typing Test and the interview.

Delhi HC JJA Stage-I Preliminary Examination

Note: There would be a 25% negative marking as a 0.25 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. For the general category, the qualifying marks are (60 marks out of 120) and 54 marks are required for reserved category candidates (45% of 120 Marks).

Stage-II Main Examination

Part-AEssay (250 Words = 40 Marks) & Letter (10 Marks)
Part-BGrammar (30 Marks) and Translation (25 Words = 25 Marks)

Note: Minimum passing marks for General Category candidates will be 50% (i.e., 50 Marks out of 100 Marks) and for Reserved Category candidates (including PwD & Ex-servicemen) will be 45% (i.e., 45 Marks out of 100 Marks).

Stage-III Typing Test (Qualifying Test):

Typing test of 10 minutes will be conducted on computers to assess candidates’ minimum speed of 35 words per minute in English Typing on computer.

Stage-IV Interview:

Minimum Passing Marks for General Category candidates will be 12.5 Marks and Reserved Category candidates (including PwD & Ex-servicemen) will be 25 Marks be 11 Marks.

There Shall be no ’rounding off Of marks at any stage Of the Delhi High Court Junior Judicial Assistant Examination.

The final select/merit list will be prepared by the High Court of Delhi by adding the marks secured by applicant(s) in Stage – II, i.e., Main (Descriptive) Examination and Stage – IV, i.e., Interview only; while Stage – l, i.e., Preliminary Examination (OMR based Objective Type) and Stage — III, i.e., English Typing Test are qualifying in nature.

The cases of a tie of marks will be resolved by the High Court of Delhi by applying the following methods one after another.

  • Total Marks in Stage – II, i.e., Main (Descriptive) Examination.
  • Date of Birth (D.O.B.), i.e., the applicant older in age gets preference over younger in age.
  • Alphabetical order of the names.
